GreenCart Return & Refund Policy

Because GreenCart is currently a student e-commerce project, many orders and payments may be demonstrations only. However, this Return & Refund Policy explains how we would handle returns and refunds for real customers.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We want our customers to be satisfied with their eco-friendly products. If you were to purchase a real item from GreenCart, you would have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return or exchange.

2. Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in its original condition and packaging
  • You must provide proof of purchase
  • Certain items such as perishable goods may not be returnable

We reserve the right to deny returns that do not meet these conditions.

3. How to Request a Return

  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. We will provide instructions and a return address

Customers would be responsible for return shipping costs unless the product arrived damaged or incorrect.

4. Refunds
Once we receive the returned item, we will inspect it. If approved:

  • A refund will be issued to your original payment method
  • Shipping costs are typically non-refundable

5. Exchanges
If an item arrives damaged or defective, we may offer:

  • A replacement item
  • Or a full refund

6. Non-Returnable Items
These items may not be eligible for return:

  • Perishable food or produce boxes
  • Gift cards
  • Digital downloads
  • Clearance or final-sale items

7. Educational Project Notice
At this time, GreenCart may operate as a demo store for a university course. Some or all products may not be physically shipped. This policy is provided to demonstrate how real e-commerce businesses handle returns and refunds.
